Sensex ends 131 pts lower, Nifty below 9200

The benchmark indices settled the trading Monday on a negative note  with the BSE Sensex was going down 130.87 points at 29,575.74, while the NSE Nifty down 16.85 points at 9,181.45. About 1,764 shares rose against a fall of 1,163 shares, while 128 shares were unchanged. The BSE Mid-Cap index declined 0.08 per cent, while the BSE Small-Cap index advanced 0.63 per cent, outperforming the Sensex.
The IT stocks suffered losses on the Exchanges. Both the Sensex and Nifty hit more than seven days  low in intraday trade. Indices dipped for the third consecutive day today, 10 April 2017.
Tata Motors, Axis Bank, BPCL and IOC were top gainers, while Wipr, Infosys and Indiabulls were top losers.
IT stocks dropped in sluggish market. TCS went down 0.7%, Tech Mahindra Ltd down 0.5%, Wipro down 2.1% and HCL Technologies declined 1.89%.
Liquor stocks were lagging behind after the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan  had said that liquor stocks will be closed across states in a phased manner.

Sensex closes down 221.73 points, Nifty Ends below 9200 on geopolitical concerns

Benchmark BSE Sensex edged lower, tracking Asian share markets as geopolitical worries grew after the U.S launched cruise missiles against an air base in Syria.
Both indices have gained near 0.8 percent on the week, and are heading for a second successive weekly gain. Telecom major Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular rose near 2.53% and 3.35%, respectively, after their competitor Reliance Jio Infocomm,  announced that  the telecom regulator had asked it to withdraw a three-month complementary offer to subscribers.
The Nifty Realty index rose nearly  1.14% to its highest in nearly two years. Reserve bank of India on Thursday said it has allowed banks to invest in REITs and  InvITs within regulations set by the capital markets regulator.
Indiabulls Housing Finance was down 2.19%, after the company announced that it has allotted its 15th tranche of NCDs aggregating to Rs 1,000 crore on a private placement basis.
The Indian rupee strengthened to a fresh 20-month high against the USD, a day after RBI increased reverse repo rate and conveyed concerns about inflation. The rupee was trading at 64.41, up 0.20%, from previous day’s close of 64.54. It opened at 64.70 a dollar and touched a high of 64.33.

Nifty above 9250, Sensex Flat; RBI Maintains Status Quo on Repo Rate

The benchmark indices pared losses on Thursday after the RBI decided to keep the repo rate unchanged at 6.25% in proportion to the market expectations. The Sensex was down 46.90 points at 29,927.34, while the Nifty was down 13.30 points at 9,251.85 on closing. BSE Midcap  gained 0.15%, while BSE Smallcap  was down 0.23%. Market breadth showed gains with 1,476 advances against 1,403 declines on the BSE while a total of 140 stocks remained unchanged.
SBI, ITC and Hindalco were among the top losers, while BHEL, Tata Steel and Zee Entertainment were the top gainers on both BSE and NSE.
Nifty Bank index fell nearly 0.55%. The bank index has grown about 19 % percent this year. Jindal Steel and Power gained nearly 5.22% after posting a 12.3% rise in row, in quarterly consolidated steel production.
Asian markets finished on mixed note The Shanghai Composite gained 0.33%, while the Nikkei 225 led the Hang Seng lesser, falling 1.40% and 0.52% respectively. The Indian rupee was trading at Rs 65.04 against the US dollar in the afternoon session, while the Oil prices were trading at US dollar 51.18.

Nifty closes at 9274, Sensex closes at 29,974 up 64 points from previous close

The benchmark indices Nifty closed at 9274.24, up by 27 points. BSE Sensex closed at 29,974.24 levels, up by 64.02 points with just one left for RBI policy announcement. The BSE Midcap rose 0.46% at 14,256 and BSE Smallcap indices rose 1% at 14,785.
The overall market breadth was positive. There were 1965 advances against a 956 declines and a total of 136 shares were unchanged.
Maruti Suzuki and Adani Ports rose above 4 percent each and topped the majors, whereas, HDFC and HCL Tech were the top losers.
Shankara Building Products shares listed at Rs 555 on the NSE, a 21% premium against its issue price of Rs. 460. The stock extended intraday gains to settle 39% higher at Rs. 638 against its Initial Public Offering. 
European and Asian stocks were higher. U.S stock markets closed with small gains yesterday ahead of a key meeting between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping on 6 & 7 April 2017.

Sensex eases as April series eyes negative note; RIL top gainer

The benchmark Index Nifty-50 pared all its initial losses to settle the first day of the April Future & Option series flat as investors booked profits in recent outperformers. On closing Friday, the BSE Sensex ended at 29,620, down 27 points, while the broader Nifty50 ended flat unchanged at 9,173.
The broader market outshined with the BSE Midcap going up 0.8% and the BSE Smallcap going up 0.7% and hit their fresh lifetime highs. On BSE, about  1620 shares rose and 1121 shares fell while  232 shares were unchanged.
Reliance Industries Ltd, SBI, HCL Technologies and Adani Ports from the Nifty50 index  hit their respective 52-week highs on the NSE. Reliance was the top gainer both on the Sensex & Nifty ending 4% higher at Rs 1320. Reliance’s telecom venture Reliance Jio’s  prime membership offer is set to expire today.

Sensex, Nifty end higher ; Auto stocks fell, Bank shares edged higher

Benchmark indices settled the day on a positive note as investors were not very bullish ahead of March Future & Option series’ expiry. The Sensex, rose 131.71 points or 0.45% to 29,541.23. The Nifty-50 index rose 43 points or 0.47% to 9,143.80. Robust inflow from foreign portfolio investors in Indian equities also boosted investors' sentiment.
Gains in banking stocks pushed the key indices higher. ICICI Bank climbed 1.97% to Rs 282.40. HDFC Bank spiraled 0.84% to Rs 1,430.65. Bharti Infratel was the top Nifty gainer, while Hero MotoCorp was the top Nifty loser in today’s trading session.
Auto stocks fell after the Supreme Court banned sale of existing stocks of Bharat Stage III vehicles from 1 April 2017.
There were 597 advancing stocks , 824 declines and 351 unchanged stocks on the exchange, reflecting bearish undertone floating in the market.

Nifty ends at 9,100; Sensesx closes high led by banking stocks

The key benchmark indices on its closing Friday settled higher led by  gains in banking stocks following news reports that the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has announced to offer a solution to the growing non-performing assets  crisis in next few days.
The BSE Sensex ended at 29,421.40, up 89.24 points, while the broader Nifty50 settled at 9,108, up 21.70 points. Both the indices registered  their first weekly loss in March, retreating from a record high attained last week.
In the broader market, the BSE Midcap ended 0.1% down, while the BSE Smallcap index gained 0.3%.  On the BSE, 1471 shares declined against  1,346 advancing shares and a total of 218 shares were unchanged.
Bank stocks advanced. ICICI Bank rose 3.28%, Kotak Mahindra Bank rose 1.2%, Axis Bank up 0.49% among others.

Sensex closes up 164 points, Nifty 0.62% higher on recovery in global markets

Sensex rose today tracking a recovery in global markets with energy shares leading the gains, whereas financial and auto shares bounced back. Key indexes had on Wednesday clocked their highest intraday loss in over 2 months, boosted by a slump on the Wall Street due to a lack of clarity in Trump’s economic policies. U.S shares picked up on Wednesday while Asian stocks rose on Thursday, taking signals from gains on Wall Street.
Share price of NTPC finished on an cheerful note, up 2.3%, after the company reported seeking to buy the federal government's stake in hydro-power producer SJVN Ltd. to increase the share of non-fossil fuel generation capacity.
Share price of Cairn India surged 2.7% after the government approved a policy for extending the term of more than two dozen oil & gas production contracts signed in a bid to bolster energy security. The move is expected to obtain an additional investment of about USD 5.43 billion.
The rupee was trading at Rs 65.42 against the US Dollar in the afternoon session. Oil prices were trading at US Dollar 48.35 at evening.

Nifty ends at record close 9150

Key Benchmarks ended the week end on a flat note after registering fresh highs intraday as investors are likely to have booked profits in the rally seen during the week. The BSE Sensex settled the day at 29,649, up 63 points, while the broader Nifty50 ended at 9,160, up 6.35 points or 0.07%. The market breadth was downbeat. About 1,225 shares advanced, while 1,593 shares declined, and 204 shares are unchanged.
The cigarette maker ITC rose over 7% at intra-day after the GST Council capped the tax on tobacco products.  ITC ended 4.6% higher along with other cigarette stocks such as Godfrey Phillips, and Golden Tobacco gained today on the BSE. Telecom index was the top sectoral laggards, going down 2.7% with Bharti Airtel dragging the index.  PSU banks and telecom stocks also witnessed a fall.
Overseas, European stocks edged lower since investors take a sigh from a global equity market rally that has pressed U.K stocks to record highs.

Stock market opened marginally higher today but lost its profit in early trade. Equity benchmarks remained under pressure tracking weakness in Asian indices. BSE Sensex hikes 12 points to 27848 and Nifty hikes just 1.80 points to 8594. Rupee is trading with the strength of 3 paise at 67.02 against US Dollar. Asian market indices are trading lower. Nikkei lost 123 points to 16432, Hang Seng gains 124 points to 22939 and Shanghai composite with minor gains trading at 3085. Commodity market started on a good positive note. Gold hikes 51 points to 30979 while Silver has gained 194 points to 43853 till yet. Maximum sectors are trading in the negative zone. BSE Auto sector is leading of all the sectors with 93 points hike at 21197. Midcap sectors are trading lower in the negative zone. NCDEX market is showing negative movements. Rmseed dropped 26 points to 4622, Soyabean dropped 5 points to 3370, Dhaniya hikes 36 points to 7764 and Barleyjpr trading at 1529 with hike of 4 points.

Stock Market started with a low note. Rupee Opened weak by 4 paise at 67.04 against US Dollar. The 50-share NSE Nifty started off August series on a flat note after yesterday's rally as investors eagerly awaited for GST Bill. Nifty is down by 16 points at 8650. The 30-share index BSE Sensex is down by 75 points to 28133. BSE Small Cap hikes 24 points at 12305, BSE Mid-Cap gains 67 points at 12640 and Nifty Mid Cap is up by 64 points to 14760. All the Global Indices are trading down. Nikkei is down by 116 points to 16359, Hang Seng is down by 182 points to 21991 and Shanghai Composite with minor loss of 2 points down by 2992. In Commodity Market, Gold and Silver are trading in the positive zone. Gold hiked 45 points to 31031 and Silver hiked 343 points to 47362. Natural Gas hiked 13 points to 194 and Crude Oil dropped 59 points to 2772. 
Automobile company Eicher Motors first quarter (April-June) consolidated earnings matched analysts' estimates on Thursday with profit growing sharply by 58.6 percent to Rs 376.3 crore, driven by strong revenue as well as operational performance in Royal Enfield business. Revenue increased 42 percent to Rs 1,555.7 crore in the quarter ended June 2016 compared with Rs 1,096 crore in year-ago period. The Bank of Japan (BOJ) has eased its monetary policy further today by expanding dollar lending programmed to USD 24 billion. The central bank kept deposit rate at -0.1 percent and said it will increase buying of exchange traded funds. Bank of Japan has lowered its real GDP growth forecast for the current fiscal year to 1 percent from earlier 1.2 percent but increased to 1.3 percent for next fiscal from earlier forecast of 0.1 percent.

Monday Morning News with Latest Market Updates

For the last four days the Indian Stock Market was off due to Ambedkar Jayanti, Ram Navmi and weekend. But on the Monday, Stock Market gave a nice opening after the 4 days break. Although, the Mcx Commodity Market was open for the evening session on Friday. Except the Sensex & Nifty, all other Asian Indexes are trading in negative zone with major losses. As per the latest market update, BSE Sensex is currently trading at 25751.56 with the hike of 124.81 and after gaining 37.75 points NSE Nifty has jumped up to 7888.20 level. The stock of Infosys has been hiked by 6.52% and presently running on the level of 1249.15 followed by Idea cellular at 121 with the lead of 5.54%. 
In Commodity Market, the Ncdex Commodities are performing surprisingly amazing and almost all the commodities seems to trading in positive zone. Whether in Mcx Commodities, except Gold, Nickel and Mentha oil all other Base Metals are trading in Negative zone.
