Sensex, Nifty ended lower; broader markets outperforms, ICICI drags

The key indices  Sensex and Nifty ended the session on a negative terrain in a volatile trade, The BSE Sensex went down 8.21 pts at 31,137.59, while the NSE Nifty-50 index ended 5.15 pts lower at 9,616.10.  The market breadth was positive with 1413 advancing shares against a decline of 1262 shares, and there were 178 shares unchanged. BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap index outperformed, BSE Midcap index was up 0.48 percent, while BSE Smallcap index rally above 1 percent.
Auto, Capital Goods, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Healthcare, and IT index showed the positive strength, while BANKEX, Bank Nifty, Metals, Oil & Gas, PSU, and Teck were down
Today.
Adani Ports was the star performer on both indices today, along with HUL, Larsen, Sun Pharma, and IT, while, Vedanta, ICICI Bank, Hindalco, ONGC, and Tata Steel were losing sheen.

Sensex, Nifty close at record highs for fourth straight session

Market registered small gains in a range-bound trading session on Tuesday. The BSE Sensex rose 50.12 points at 31,159.40, while the Nifty 50 index rose 20 points to 9,624.55, as investors booked profits in the recent outperformers like ITC, while the arrival of monsoon rains kept the sentiment cheerful.
In the broader market, the BSE Mid-cap gained 0.8 percent, while the BSE Small-cap rose 0.5 percent to trade flat. The market breadth was in favour of declines as about 1,427 shares were declined and 1168 shares advanced on the BSE.
Mahindra & Mahindra rose 0.82 percent after its net profit surged 19.93 percent to Rs 725.16 cr. Hindalco Industries gained as much as 1.09 percent after company’s net profit rose 25.75 percent to Rs 503 crore. L&T was down 1.12 percent, while Bharat Heavy Electricals dipped 8.55% after it net profit dropped 57.38% to Rs 215.55 crore on 5.8% fall.
The fertilizer stocks have been picking momentum on the exchanges as India braces for the monsoon. The monsoon is expected to arrive over the Indian mainland on June 1 and on hopes of normal rainfall in the year 2017, investors are choosing to buy the fertilizer stocks.

Sensex soars 315 pts to close at record high, Nifty above 9,400-Level


The BSE Sensex hit a record high on Wednesday’s closing bell, as shares of FMGC and agriculture-reliant companies rallied after the IMD forecast a higher monsoon rainfall than expected earlier. The NSE Nifty rose 0.99% to a record high of 9,414.75, surpassing its earlier milestone marked on 5 May. BSE Sensex closed higher by 314.92 pts, to 30,248.17, while the NSE Nifty-50 index rose 90.45 pts, or to 9,407.30.
BSE Midcap closed higher by 0.87 percent at 14,853, while Smallcap closed higher by 0.75 percent at 15,561. India volatile Index closed lower by 0.6 percent at 11.04 levels.
Idea Cellular and Bharti Airtel advanced to higher levels today. Bharti Airtel was the major index gainer rising 8 percent. Nifty bank underperforms the trading session, due to PSU banks trade under pressure.
Biocon Ltd fell 6.1%, after the U.S health regulator issued Form-483 to its Bengaluru facility with some observations. IDBI Bank declined 4.5% after the RBI initiated prompt corrective action over the lender’s surging bad loans and downbeat return on assets.
Some companies have announced their earning results today which includes Zee Entertainment, Hero Motocorp, Siemens, 8K Miles Software and Capital First.

Markets end lower, Nifty closed at 9,203 levels; Tata Steel top Nifty loser

In Wednesday’s choppy trading session, the NSE Nifty closed 9203 or 0.33%, whereas BSE Sensex closed at 29, 643 levels down by 144 points or 0.49%. There were 1095 advances, 1778 declines and 149 unchanged stocks on NSE reflecting fairly negative bias floating in the market.
Tata Steel Ltd was the top Nifty loser, lower by 2.2% at 477.5 per share, while Bosch Ltd was the top Nifty gainer higher by 3.7% higher at Rs. 23,600 per share.
BSE Mid-cap index closed lower by 0.22% at 14,346 level, whereas BSE Small-cap index closed lower by 0.49% at 14,852 level.
The ITC Limited was touching its intraday high of Rs 285 per share in the afternoon hours today, but later slipped further to close at Rs 281.8 per share down by 0.12%.

Sensex rises 213 points, Nifty ends above 9200 ahead of IIP data release

BSE Sensex, Equity Market Update, Today's news update, Money Maker ResearchBSE Sensex rose on Tuesday closing after three successive sessions of falling as recent decliners such as IT stocks regained, but overall sentiment was cautious ahead of the beginning of the earnings season.
The BSE Sensex ended at 29,788, up 213 points, whereas the broader Nifty-50 index closed at 9,237, up 55 points.  The BSE Mid-cap and BSE Small-cap indices gained 0.4% and 1%, respectively. The overall health of the market was positive with  1,719 advancing shares and 1,154 declining shares on BSE. A total of 148 shares were unchanged.
BHEL stock went up 1.2%, Havells India up 1.99%, ABB India rose 3.05%, Bharat Electronics gained  2.32%, L&T up 1.75%), and Siemens gained 0.48%.  Infosys Ltd rose 1.55% It will release its quarter-fourth results on Thursday, 13 April 2017.
Aisa - Europe  stocks declined as tensions prevailing in the Middle East and political vagueness in Europe kept investors on edge, underling safe assets like the yen, gold and treasuries.

Nifty closes at 9274, Sensex closes at 29,974 up 64 points from previous close

The benchmark indices Nifty closed at 9274.24, up by 27 points. BSE Sensex closed at 29,974.24 levels, up by 64.02 points with just one left for RBI policy announcement. The BSE Midcap rose 0.46% at 14,256 and BSE Smallcap indices rose 1% at 14,785.
The overall market breadth was positive. There were 1965 advances against a 956 declines and a total of 136 shares were unchanged.
Maruti Suzuki and Adani Ports rose above 4 percent each and topped the majors, whereas, HDFC and HCL Tech were the top losers.
Shankara Building Products shares listed at Rs 555 on the NSE, a 21% premium against its issue price of Rs. 460. The stock extended intraday gains to settle 39% higher at Rs. 638 against its Initial Public Offering. 
European and Asian stocks were higher. U.S stock markets closed with small gains yesterday ahead of a key meeting between President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping on 6 & 7 April 2017.

Nifty ends at 9,100; Sensesx closes high led by banking stocks

The key benchmark indices on its closing Friday settled higher led by  gains in banking stocks following news reports that the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has announced to offer a solution to the growing non-performing assets  crisis in next few days.
The BSE Sensex ended at 29,421.40, up 89.24 points, while the broader Nifty50 settled at 9,108, up 21.70 points. Both the indices registered  their first weekly loss in March, retreating from a record high attained last week.
In the broader market, the BSE Midcap ended 0.1% down, while the BSE Smallcap index gained 0.3%.  On the BSE, 1471 shares declined against  1,346 advancing shares and a total of 218 shares were unchanged.
Bank stocks advanced. ICICI Bank rose 3.28%, Kotak Mahindra Bank rose 1.2%, Axis Bank up 0.49% among others.

Sensex Nifty Slumped, Commodity Market on Flat Note
Sensex and Nifty opened on a flat note on Friday morning. Sensex has lost 196 points at 28848 and Nifty has lost 64 points yet. Commodity market is also showing average movements today. MCX Gold has dropped 6 points to 31197 while Silver dropped 18 points to 46696. In energy sector, Crude oil dropped 21 points to 3143 and Natural gas hiked 1.20 points to 187.30. Midcap sectors are trading down today. BSE Smallcap dropped 49 points to 12873, BSE Midcap dropped 92 points to 13386 and Nifty Midcap dropped 74 points to 15671. BSE Auto sector dropped 267 points to 22919, BSE BANKEX dropped 301 points to 23184 and Bank Nifty lost 243 points to 20173. Currently, Rupee is trading lower by 13 paise at 66.55. Till yet 890 shares have advanced, 1422 shares have declined and 146 shares are unchanged.

Asian Market Updates: Japan's benchmark index Nikkei trading at 16965 with minor hike of 7 points, Hong Kong's benchmark index has a major hike of 336 points at 24255 and China's Shanghai Composite has dropped 2 points to 3093.
